The short version

Every tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser. The JSON you paste, upload or type is processed on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. There is no server that receives it, no database that stores it, and no log that records it.

What this means in practice

  • Formatting, validation, repair, minification and conversion happen in JavaScript running in the page you have open. You can confirm this: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab, and paste a document — no request is made carrying your data.
  • Files you open are read locally by the page and never uploaded.
  • Share links encode your JSON into the URL itself, compressed. The part after # is never sent to a server — it stays in the browser of whoever opens the link.
  • Your settings (indentation, theme) are stored in your browser's localStorage on your device, and nowhere else.
  • "Load from URL" fetches the address you give directly from that address's own server, into your browser. We never see the URL or the response.

What we collect anyway

Standard web-server logs at our hosting provider (Cloudflare or similar) may record requests for pages and assets — IP address, time, user agent — as part of serving the site. Those logs describe which pages were loaded, never what you did inside them.

We do not run advertising scripts, third-party trackers, or analytics that read page content. If privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics are added later, they will be listed here before they go live.
